X/Y recording quick and easy

The X/Y technique is a great way to cover a wide shooting area. Recording sources that are at the centre are clearly undefined, making the H1 perfect for all types of live recordings.

The X/Y microphone integrated in the H1 offers two tuned, directional microphones at a 90 degree angle to each other, so that an optimal recording situation is given for all recording applications.

Alternatively, you can connect external microphones or line-level signals to the stereo mini jack input.

The inputs and outputs

The H1's microphone/line input is a 1/8" stereo jack and accepts both microphone and line-level signals. Condenser microphones that require a plug-in power (2.5 volt) can also be connected.

The H1 line/headphone output is a stereo 1/8" jack socket with volume control. Here headphones can be connected for monitoring during recording. In addition, there is an integrated speaker on the back, which allows you to quickly monitor the recorded signals without having to connect speakers or headphones.

The USB port of the H1 is a digital output that provides the stereo signal and serves to send recorded files to the computer. The files can be imported directly into the recording and editing software via the USB port. In addition, the USB interface allows the H1 to be used as a stereo audio interface with two input and output channels as well as a microSD card reader.

Auto level and low cut filter

The Auto Level function of the H1 automatically regulates the input preamplification to prevent override and distortion. Alternatively, the input level can also be adjusted manually.
